The BNED LEADER Local Action Group (LAG) has been awarded €1,713,000 of European Agricultural Fund For Rural Development (EAFRD) through the Rural Development Programme for England for the funding of rural projects in the local area. This represents a Sterling equivalent of approximately £1,370,000 (this figure may alter in line with Euro exchange rates).

Latest news - Government announces support for flood-hit farmers

The Government has announced that flood-hit farmers in northern England will be able to apply for up to £25,000 in government grants to help them get back on their feet.  Click here for full press release.  The grants are being administered from the Farming recovery fund.

Latest news -  RDPE Growth Programme – Round Three Monday 4 November 2019 -  NOW OPEN.

The Business Development, Food Processing and Rural Tourism Infrastructure grants are now open to new applications. You must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form direct to the RDPE before midnight on 16 February 2020.

Grants of between £3,500 and £95,000 for up to 40% of total project costs are available to farmers, small and micro businesses, community groups and organisations (non profit making organisations may be eligible for up to 100%),  in the Bolsover and North East Derbyshire eligible areas. Eligible areas are defined by Defra and can be found on Defra's Magic Map website.

Due to Brexit,  we are working to a deadline of September 2019 to have all projects approved and contracted so we encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible to ensure the best chance of approval.  

BNED LEADER will consider projects that create jobs and growth and fit within one of the following priorities:
